Want Hyatt Diamond Status? Here’s how

With news over the past week that Marriott Hotels have brought out the Starwood Hotel Group (which has made a lot of SPG members very unhappy) Hyatt are hoping to target some of their regular travelers with a status match. So if you have high status in any hotel program it’s worth applying for the status match.

Here’s how…..

It’s been quite a while since Hyatt have offered any sort of match to Diamond, but they’re making the process pretty easy to do.

Send a tweet to @hyattconcierge and let them know you’re interested in the status match. To speed up the process also give them your Hyatt Gold Passport number and a screen shot or statement from your current rewards program (that shows your name, number of stays/nights this year) etc

I’ve been hearing the last couple of days of SPG Gold, Hilton Gold and even Accor Platinum! being matched to Hyatt Diamond.

So what’s the benefit?

Granted, Hyatt doesn’t a huge portfolio of hotels around the world as some of the other chains, but some of their properties are well known for luxury and great locations: Sydney Park Hyatt (pictured below), Park Hyatt Milan and their properties in Paris just to name a few.

You would also get status through to March 2017 as well as the all important 4 Suite upgrade rewards. This alone has the potential to make an ordinary stay into a very special one.

Give it a go. I’m sure they’re inundated with requests at the moment and could stop the promo at any moment, however if they’re hoping to gain new business this is a smart way of doing it (if they do indeed gain some loyal members from SPG or Hilton).

If you’re not a member of Hyatt’s Program, join before you tweet!
