Hotel Review: Crown Towers Melbourne

I have stayed at Towers, the first property in Crown’s stable many times.

I love this hotel, though I admit the last couple of stays I am getting bored of the property and the room types. The fact that it is so close to the Casino entry point means that any one can wander in, which I find annoying when trying to check in and out.

Have stayed in everything from the Basic room to the Executive Suite.

Crown just do things very well at this hotel (except the front desk which is painfully slow and the staff tend to think they are too good to be working at the hotel)

Great bedding, fantastic views, Marble bathroom with TV in bath tub. Clean Clean Clean! One of the best bathrooms I have experienced, even for just the standard room.
Pillows that you sink into, linen that is fresh and crisp.
Fast lifts considering the traffic that use them.
Day Spa is a real treat should you want some relaxation time.
Great selection of magazines in the room and many cable channels.
Room service not as good as Metropol who use Gordon Ramsay’s Maze, but passable.
Valet parking slow, but given notice 1/2 hour before, you can usually arrive to your car being there.

Definitely book a suite if you can, for the remote curtains (so much fun pressing those buttons) and the amazing skyline view of Melbourne.
Turn down service includes slippers, ice and chocolates…though it happens early around 6pm.

I look forward to one day staying in its sister property in Macau.
